Fiona’s place was absolutely gorgeous! The photos don’t do it justice. Everything had been thought of and Fiona as a host was incredible. We loved our stay at this amazing property and will be back no doubt!

The Granary was, in a word, sublime. Stunning and lovingly restored historic accommodation. Idyllic surroundings. And welcoming hosts. From waking up to the sounds of the fountain and the bird life, to breakfasting on a balcony overlooking the farm, and evenings in front of the fire, it was all incredibly peaceful. We had a schedule of things we wanted to do in the region but, in truth, spent as much time as we could on this beautiful property. And the local bakery was amazing.

The farm grounds are beautiful and the property itself is extremely impressive. The interior is palatial in size and with a very high standard of appointment. We were very impressed! The river is a 5 minute walk with a fire pit,BBQ facility and private jetty. Fiona and Nick were extremely welcoming hosts and gave a personal tour of their stunning gardens which was much appreciated. We highly recommend this amazing property and look forward to returning. Do not hesitate to book a stay here as you will not be disappointed.

Fiona and Nick have created a beautiful farm accommodation experience in the heart of Tasmania's northern farming district. With the fabled Macquarie River literally one farm gate and a short stroll away we stayed with the intent of fly fishing from a drift boat returning to The Granary each night to take in the peaceful views in every direction. The whole house is well appointed, comfortable beds, modern cooking utensils and a large fireplace which I look forward to utilising in a return visit during winter. The decks overlooking the farmlands provided stunning views of the sunset each evening. The location of The Granary makes for a excellent base if you are into your fishing, with Brumby's Creek only minutes away and the highlands lakes only a 45 minute drive. Both Longford and Cressy are nearby for supplies. The Granary is a credit to Nick and Fiona and I look forward to visiting again.

Can not recommend this property highly enough. Stayed here over Easter with my family of 6 and had the most wonderful time. The Granary is set amongst picturesque gardens in a very private setting, yet close to Cressy with all it’s fabulous foodie shops and grocer. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming and made our stay extremely comfortable. Fine linen, towels, well equipped kitchen complete with espresso machine and well appointed furnishings and finishes. The Granary is not only rich in history, charm and style but extremely warm and cosy as well with excellent under floor heating in addition to a wood fire. 🔥 Great walks closeby.

It is a wonderful place to relax, extremely clean, spacious, and elegant, with very idyllic surroundings. Fiona and her family are very friendly. I will definitely recommend.

What a spectacular accommodation!! The Granary is a beautiful historic sandstone building situated in the countryside of northern Tasmania which also has the Macquarie river flowing right past your door step. What more could you want. The photos really do speak for themselves! The accommodation has been decorated so tastefully by Fiona (the host) and everything about our stay was so comfortable and relaxing. Fiona was also able to provide us some great recommendations on places and restaurants to visit. All were amazing! We will definitely stay at the Granary when we next visit Tasmania. 10/10!
